GSN Games acquires Barcelona-based Gamedonia
Deal comes just weeks after the social casino developer snapped up Plumbee for $25m
GSN Games has completed its second acquisition in as many months after snapping-up Barcelona-based Gamedonia for an undisclosed sum.
GSN said the acquisition of the Gamedonia platform and team of eight technologists will help âpower rapid game developmentâ across its studios.
Following the deal, Gamedonia, a mobile games backend-as-a-service developer, will be known as GSN Games Barcelona.
GSN said integration was already underway, and that the new GSN Games Barcelona team would be working closely with its development studio in India.
â[This acquisition] aligns with our strategy of leveraging talented teams and advanced technologies to create best-in-class games that delight millions of players worldwide,â GSN Games COO Steve Brunell, said.
âWe are pleased to welcome the Gamedonia team, and already are on our way to integrating their expertise in order to power rapid game development across the GSN Games organization,â he added.
The takeover comes just weeks after GSN Games completed its acquisition of London-based developer Plumbee.
While financial terms were not revealed, the deal is thought to be worth around $25m plus earn-outs, with Plumbee now knows as GSN Games London.
