
GTECH announces Hungarian lottery partnership
Software provider to supply Hungarian national lottery with sportsbook platform and back office solution.

GTECH G2 has signed a six-year contract with Hungarian national lottery operator Szerencsejatek Zrt, the company has announced.
Szerencsejatek Zrt is the only operator licensed to offer lotto games, scratch cards and sports betting in Hungary. Under the terms of the deal GTECH G2 will supply the company with its Margin Maker sports betting platform, and its Gaming Management System (GMS) back office solution.
Commenting on the deal, GTECH G2 vice president William Scott said: “We are very proud of our sports betting systems at GTECH G2 and we are very excited to work with Szerencsejatek Zrt as the leading provider to the Hungarian market to enable them to develop their sports betting offering now and for the future.”
Meanwhile PokerStrategy.com‘s Hungarian-language site has suggested that the country’s new egaming regulatory process could begin as soon as January, with a 20% gross profit tax proposed by lawmakers.
