GVC opens new Sofia office
The operator has moved 300 employees of its Sofia services branch into an award-winning new office space

GVC Holdings has moved its Sofia branch into a new award-winning office building in an attempt to boost “employee wellbeing”.
Around 300 of the operator’s employees moved into the 2,536sqm site at Office Park Expo 2000 in December 2017.
The new space recently won an award as the ‘best designed office’ in the Bulgarian capital and features a relax area, 10 meeting rooms and a zone for sporting activities.
Head of facilities Susanne Winterstein-Smith said the move came about after a 2016 employee survey revealed the old office was no longer fit for purpose.
“After we carried out the survey we strongly felt we needed to look at new options,” she said.
“The old office infrastructure was simply not meeting the requirements of a modern workplace and were not in line with the high expectations set for Sofia employees.

“We wanted to make sure we found an office where our employees will have a great working environment and found it in Office Park Expo 2000.
“When we designed the office we had employee wellbeing at the forefront of our minds and used energy efficient and ergonomic high quality materials, while also using bright colours to make staff love coming to work here.
“We used a local young design team called cachè atelier with a big track record of great offices and they certainly didn’t disappoint, using their magic designing this one beautifully,” she added.
