HARRAH’S Interactive Entertainment (HIE) has become the latest operator to enter the online bingo space with the launch of CAESARS Bingo Online.
HIE is the egaming subsidiary of US casino giant Harrah’s Entertainment and launched in May last year. It offers real money gaming to UK residents under the WSOP.com (World Series of Poker), CAESARSBingo.com and CAESARSCasino.com brand names.
The company’s new CAESARS Bingo site will offer the vertical to UK residents, and feature a complement of casino games including slots, roulette, blackjack and baccarat.
Technology for the Gibraltar-licensed site will be supplied by Entertaining Play, a subsidiary of JackpotJoy-owner Gamesys technology, which will also provide gaming operations, customer service and payment solutions.
HIE chief executive Mitch Garber said: “CAESARSBingo.com will bring players the fun and excitement found in our casinos in addition to offering exclusive CAESARS Palace Las Vegas prize packages.”
Gamesys chief operating officer Lee Fenton said: “Bingo has been one of the surprises of the last four to five years in terms of its growth online, and Harrah’s has seen that and recognised it. They wanted a way to weave it into their portfolio, and that’s something that [Gamesys] has done successfully.”
The Gamesys Group was founded by chief executive Noel Hayden in April 2001. The company’s Jackpotjoy brand has built an audience of over three million members and pays out in excess of £90m every month.
In 2008 Gamesys formed a partnership with News International to re-launch two premier gaming bingo brands for the publisher’s tabloid newspaper brands, Sun Bingo and News of the World Bingo, for which it was shortlisted for EGR Bingo Operator of the Year 2009.
