Hero Gaming names ex-Entain manager as head of legal
Malta-headquartered operator adds Alistair Facciol to roster in latest shift in firm’s senior leadership
Hero Gaming has appointed former Entain compliance manager Alistair Facciol as the group’s new head of legal and compliance.
Facciol joins the Swedish firm from Bragg Gaming where he served as senior legal counsel for a short spell from February 2022 until June.
Prior to joining Bragg, Facciol spent more than two years with London-listed operator Entain as a compliance manager in Malta from July 2019 until February 2022.
His first steps in the gambling industry came as a legal counsel for ComeOn Group at the company’s Malta office from February 2018 until he joined Entain.
He will continue to be based in Malta in his new role with Hero Gaming.
Facciol will be responsible for managing the firm’s legal operations and compliance regulations across various markets.
In February, Hero Gaming appointed former William Hill International MD Patrick Jonker as its new CEO.
Jonker replaced former CEO Tomas Backman who left Hero Gaming in October 2021 to become a partner at investment company Waahlin Holdings.
Last year, Hero Gaming offloaded its Swedish-licensed igaming brands to Paf.
