Hills to launch poker in Italy
Operator will join Playtech's iPoker.it network in coming weeks

William Hill is set to add poker to its dot.it offering in the coming weeks, with the operator due to join Playtech’s Italian-facing network.
Hills already offers bingo, casino and sportsbetting to Italian players, claiming a 6.97% market share for casino in March according to data from regulatory body AAMS. The operator laid claim to 3.65% of the Italian sportsbetting market in the same month, while its bingo market share was 1.62%
A spokesman for Playtech told eGaming Review “more known dot.com names” would join the iPoker.it network before the end of the year. He confirmed the software provider’s mobile poker offering – currently available on its dot.com and dot.fr networks – would also be launched in Italy before the end of 2013.
The spokesman said Hills would go live “in the coming weeks” and that Playtech is “in different project phases” with other operators.
iPoker.it currently ranks fourth for Italian cash poker traffic according to Pokerscout, behind PokerStars, Ongame, and Microgame’s Peoples Network. Snai and Eurobet are among the operators whose poker offering sits on the network.
The iPoker.com network currently ranks third for cash game traffic worldwide behind PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, with skins on the dot.com network including bet365, Paddy Power and Betfair.
