HooYu targets streamlined KYC with UX enhancements
Identity verification and fraud prevention firm aims to reduce operator losses from customer onboarding process

HooYu has launched a slew of new user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) tools for operators conducting KYC checks on new registrations to gambling sites.
This new UX is designed to cater to different user personas that need differing levels of support in the KYC process, as well as catering for those with visual or physical impairments.
The new UI includes additional customisation options where operators can edit icons, buttons, fonts and brand colours, as well as adding custom messages.
Operators can also add custom style sheets to control the appearance of the HooYu interface for their users without the need to secure developer resources.
The new tools aim to streamline the customer sign-up and general KYC process, significantly reducing the estimated 20% sign-up abandonment rate operators experience when onboarding new customers.
HooYu has said it spent several months testing these enhancements with operators, with the firm aiming to balance KYC compliance with a streamlined player registration process.
“We’re grateful to all our clients that helped us test and refine our new UI and UX tools. Now it’s time to get back into the HooYu lab and start designing the next generation of customer journey tools for tomorrow’s digital punter,” HooYu marketing director David Pope said.
The revamped UI includes dynamic prompts to fast-track through the KYC process quickly.
Users that need more support can return to the HooYu hub where they can get further guidance on what information or documents they must provide to pass KYC checks.
