Ian Chuter steps down as Ladbrokes Coral digital COO
Chuter will switch to an interim part-time project role in September with his current position to be filled by integration director Steve Clift

Ladbrokes Coral digital chief operating officer (COO) Ian Chuter will stand down from his role at the end of August, EGR Intel has learned, with integration director Steve Clift set to replace him.
Gibraltar-based Chuter, who joined the firm late last year following the merger between Ladbrokes and Gala Coral, will take on what the firm described as “an interim part-time project role”.
The former Betfair and William Hill director had joined from Playtech to assist with the technical integration of the two businesses, which the operator in April said had made significant progress.
“After successfully leading the operational integration of our digital business, Ian Chuter will be stepping down from his role later this year,” Ladbrokes Coral COO Andy Hornby said in an internal memo to staff.
“He will continue to lead our digital operations until the end of August, after which time he will move into an interim part-time project role.
“I’m pleased to let you know that Steve Clift, currently integration director, will move into the permanent digital COO role from 1 September.
“It’s important to emphasise that for now Steve’s focus will remain on driving the integration project forward, delivering the associated synergies, and setting the project up to continue delivering after Steve moves into his new role.
“I’d like to take the opportunity to thank both Ian and Steve for their enormous contribution to the business and I’m sure you will all join me in wishing them all the best,” he added.
Clift joined legacy Gala Coral in March 2012 as business development director before taking on his current integration role following the firm’s combination with Ladbrokes.
A spokesperson for Ladbrokes Coral told EGR Intel: “Ian has played a valuable role and will be staying on to help the business.”
