Iceland Supermarkets teams up with Dragonfish for online bingo
Supermarket to launch Iceland Bingo on 888-owned Dragonfish network.

UK supermarket chain Iceland Foods has today announced the launch of an online bingo offering, developed in partnership with egaming affiliate QuickThink Media.
The launch of Iceland Bingo on the 888-owned Dragonfish bingo network makes the chain the first major supermarket brand to launch an online gambling offering. The company’s founder and chief executive Malcolm Walker spoke of his excitement at having launched the site, explaining that it was designed to appeal to Iceland’s customer base.
“Now mums “ and dads “ can come to Iceland Bingo, too. Launching Iceland Bingo in partnership with Dragonfish and QuickThink Media ensures that we have an excellent product and marketing partner to give our loyal customers a really enjoyable bingo experience under a brand they know and trust,” Walker said.
The chain, which was founded by Walker in 1970, has around 760 outlets across the United Kingdom, and is probably best-known for its advertising campaigns featuring television personality Kerry Katona.
QuickThink Media is an online marketing and affiliate business, running a number of white label gaming brands alongside its core affiliate portal Freebingohunter.com, with a team made up of former Gala Coral, Gamesys, Ladbrokes and Mecca Bingo employees. The company has recently branched out into social gaming, launching the Avatingo Facebook app, and have secured backing from the bwin.party-backed investment fund NewGame Capital.
Managing director of QuickThink Jonny Bennet commented: “Our highly experienced and dynamic team are ready to build Iceland Bingo into one of the UK’s most recognised and successful online bingo brands.
“Our in-depth knowledge of the online bingo market and innovative marketing strategy will enable us to deliver the very best consumer experience and long term success for Iceland Bingo,” he concluded.
