iGame to join Microgaming network
Malta and Denmark licensed operator had already announced plans to leave IGT Poker network ahead of its December closure.

iGame, one of the largest skins on the IGT Poker network, is set to move its poker offering to the Microgaming Network towards the end of this year.
The Malta and Denmark licensed operator has a database of approximately one million players and runs its eponymous flagship skin as well as NoIQ, 24hPoker, Pokerihuone and Casinohuone. eGaming Review understands that 24hPoker was formerly owned by Entraction and remained on the network after breaking off from its parent company.
A release last week revealed iGame will retain its Fast Poker offering from Relax Gaming alongside its Microgaming room. A number of other Microgaming skins, such as Unibet, have also brought in Fast Poker in the last few months.
Microgaming head of network games Lydia Melton (pictured) said the software provider is in “Advanced discussions with a number of other major operators looking to join the Microgaming Poker Network,” adding that “We look forward to announcing more operators joining the network in the near future.”
Melton did not go into further detail with regards to the identity of these operators, however it has been speculated that certain operators who missed out on the top tier of Playtech’s iPoker network could be set to move their offering to Microgaming.
Furthermore, IGT Poker skins Betsson and BetVictor, who already use Microgaming for certain brands and markets, could be tempted to move more of their poker offering to the network.
Microgaming currently sits eighth for cash game liquidity in Pokerscout’s rankings, just behind Ongame, and it is unclear whether the addition of iGame alone would be sufficient to lift the network into seventh place.
The deal with iGame will also see the operator bring in a number of casino games from Microgaming’s Quickfire platform, and Tommi Maijala, MD for iGame Holding Ltd, said: “We have received excellent support from Microgaming and very much look forward to working with them into the future.
“We are thrilled to be joining the Microgaming Poker Network [MPN] and securing for our players access to the highest quality poker software, good liquidity and a secure long-term future. The experience of players is always our utmost priority, so joining the MPN is a very natural development for us,” added Maijala.
