IGT hires Italian regulator Rodano as senior director
Francesco Rodano will join the recently-merged firm to lead the International division's interactive development

IGT has appointed Italian regulator Francesco Rodano (pictured) as a senior director of market strategies and development for its new London headquartered international team, eGaming Review understands.
According to eGR sources, Rodano, who is currently head of remote gaming at Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (AAMS), will relocate to London from Rome upon completion of his notice period with the regulator.
Rodano, who joined AAMS in June 2007, has been appointed to focus on commercial interactive strategic market development within the newly-merged business’ International division, following a deal which saw GTECH acquire IGT for $6.4bn (£4.3bn).
The International business unit is responsible for the strategic development and management of all business conducted outside of North America and Italy, across the company’s entire product portfolio.
The acquisition, which was completed earlier this month, has seen the combined firm structure itself into four separate business areas split across three regions; North America, International and Italy.
As part of the merger, the enlarged firm decided to locate its corporate headquarters in London, with operational offices in Rome, Providence, and Las Vegas.
IGT was unavailable for comment at the time of publication while Rodano declined to comment.
