IMG unveils revamped sports streaming and data business
Company pledges to “disrupt the market” and “focus on fan-first” innovation with its new IMG Arena division

IMG has announced the launch of a new business arm to focus on providing sports streams and real-time data feeds to sportsbook operators.
The IMG Arena, part of IMG’s Media division, was formed as part of re branding of IMG’s Gaming arm.
At present it provides feeds and data to more than 250 sportsbook operators and will process data for over 45,000 sporting events a year.
Its streaming portfolio includes the English FA Cup, Football League and EFL Cup, Serie A and MLS, as well as the US Open and NHL.
Senior vice president and MD for IMG Media, Freddie Longe, said: “Backed by the considerable global scale, network and resource of IMG, IMG Arena will build on our existing advantages and well-developed offering to positively disrupt the market, with a strong fan-first innovation pipeline that drives incremental value to our clients and customers.
“The move to IMG Arena underlines the business’s aggressive growth plans and a desire to expand our footprint in a range of worldwide markets, including the US, as the region continues to regulate,” he added.
Earlier this year the supplier also added a realistic virtual sports product as part of the firm’s investment into virtual sports developer, Leap Gaming.
