Income Access: don't blame us for Smart Live fiasco
Affiliate marketing business Income Access has hit back at Smart Live Casino after the online casino blamed Income Access for the closure of Smart Live's affiliate programme.

AFFILIATE MARKETING business Income Access has hit back at Smart Live Casino after the online casino blamed Income Access for the closure of Smart Live’s affiliate programme.
As reported on EGRmagazine.com exclusively yesterday, Smart Live Casino shut down its affiliate programme this week “with immediate effect”, explaining in an email to affiliates that “this decision has been made as a result of ongoing technical issues and integration with Income Access which we are unable to resolve fully”.
However speaking to EGRmagazine.com today, Income Access denied that the decision was made due to problems with Income Access software or service.
Chief executive Nicky Senyard (pictured) said: “Smart Live originally chose not to supply bonus or chargeback data for their affiliate program, but in April of this year decided that they wanted to begin including this data in the revenue calculation. Smart Live chose not to pay affiliates for this period, before backdating all data to January 2009.
“In May, when Smart Live began sending new complete data to Income Access, all the data for their affiliate program was re-imported and stats were updated for the year. Smart Live then realised that they had been sending the data in the wrong currency, and that therefore all data was amended, and re-imported again in June.”
As also reported on EGRmagazine.com, Smart Live managing director Arthur Baker walked out last Friday.
The exact motivations behind his resignation have not been confirmed, but are understood to relate to profound disagreement with the business’ owner, Kasim Garipogula, son of controversial Turkish tycoon Hayyam Garipoglu.
Baker has not returned to the company’s London headquarters since, and is not due to work out any notice period.
