Interwetten signs multi-year sponsorship deal with PDC
Sports betting firm will become title sponsor of every European Tour event held in Germany and Austria

The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has signed a multi-year partnership with sports betting firm Interwetten.
The deal will see Interwetten become the title sponsor of all European Tour events held in Germany and Austria starting with the International Darts Open, which kicks off in Riesa, Germany on 25 February.
The Malta-based firm previously partnered with the PDC at the 2021 European Championship where Cazoo was the title sponsor.
Werner von Moltke, CEO of PDC Europe said: “The partnership with Interwetten makes me very happy. I have rarely experienced such a competent and motivated partner.
“I know that Interwetten not only wants to present itself as a sponsor but will also make sure that our fans will become even more attractive and that the exchange with our fans will be intensified.”
Interwetten CEO Stefan Sulzbacher added: “Darts is an exciting development opportunity for us as the sport enjoys increasing popularity in our core markets [of] Germany and Austria.
“We are therefore very proud about this multi-year partnership with a renowned organisation such as PDC Europe.”
It was announced in January that Cazoo would be taking over the title sponsorship of the 2023 edition of PDC’s flagship event, the World Darts Championship, marking the end of nearly two decades’ worth of gambling sponsorship.
Ladbrokes sponsored the competition from 2003 until 2014 with William Hill taking over the 2015 edition.
