Intralot enters Mexico with Sorteo deal
Further online games will follow initial Keno offering as part of agreement with Mexican national lottery.

Greek operator Intralot has agreed a joint deal with service provider Sorteo Games to supply keno and online games to the Mexican national lottery.
It is Intralot’s first entry into the Mexican market, although it already has a notable Latin American presence and its Peruvian-facing subsidiary Intralot Peru launched its first online product last November.
The operator has also expanded its Italian offering in recent months with the launch of new mobile and TV egaming apps and the provision of technology for Betsson’s StarCasino.it offering.
However it missed out on a lucrative egaming contract in Greece when monopoly operator OPAP chose GTECH G2 to act as IT provider as it makes the move into online.
Sorteo, the exclusive technology systems and games service provider for the Mexican lottery, will be permitted to cross sell its other lottery products through the soon-to-be installed Keno terminals in the country. Intralot will offer other games through its LOTOS platform, which will be integrated for Sorteo.
Intralot Latin America managing director Nikos Nikolakopoulos said: “As a fast developing market, Mexico was a natural target for Intralot. Thanks to this agreement with Sorteo, we are able to expand our existing presence within Latin America into this key region.”
Sorteo CEO Nour-Dean Ankar said: “We look forward to benefiting from Intralot’s resources and international experience in the development, installation and launch of the keno game in Mexico, and we hope this will be the first step in establishing a strong, long-term relationship.”
