Unibet has relaunched its Italian poker site on the Ongame platform, ahead of the launch of cash games there next year.

Unibet has relaunched its Italian poker site on the Ongame Network. The Ongame P5-powered site currently offers scheduled and multi-table poker tournaments, and will offer poker cash games and casino as regulation allows from the second quarter of 2011, in addition to its core sports betting offering. Unibet CEO HenrikTjärnström said: “Relaunching our operations, using our own technology and joining Ongame network is the first step of our market re-entry in Italy. With the imminent introduction of cash games, we see great value in the Italian market”. Unibet was previously on Microgame’s People’s Network.
The Greek government will listen to offers for its state betting operator OPAP, and invite private investment in two state lotteries and racetrack operator ODIE. The move comes as part of a three-year privatisation plan, designed to raise 7bn to boost the country’s ailing economy. The finance ministry expects to raise at least 1bn from the sale of state companies and other assets in 2011.
Victor Chandler has completed its move from Playtech’s iPoker Network to Entraction. To promote the switch, the operator is holding a number of promotions over the festive period.
Dublinbet has unveiled its new-look website, as part of parent company VueTec’s drive to raise awareness of the brand in established markets. VueTec is also looking to promote its Distance Gaming software development arm, which provides live casino games broadcast from a real casino, rather than a studio replica.
