Isle of Man appoints new head of egaming
Former Microgaming and SHFL senior exec Mark Robson named head of egaming at the IOM Department of Economic Development
The Isle of Man’s (IOM) Department of Economic Development (DED) has named online gaming veteran Mark Robson as its new head of egaming.
Robson has been working in the industry for more than a decade, and has a CV that includes senior executive roles at SHFL Entertainment and Microgaming.
“With over a decade of experience working for some of the biggest and most recognisable companies in the industry, Mark will bring invaluable insight to the team,” Peter Green, CEO of egaming at the DED, said.
“His first-hand knowledge of what it takes to establish, grow and run successful gaming operations will no doubt reinforce IOMs world class reputation as an egaming centre of excellence and help the continued growth in a sector.”
Robson started his career in egaming with Prima Poker, where he was responsible for operational aspects of the product, and helped it to become one of the largest poker networks in the world.
He then joined gaming supplier Microgaming helping to launch their multi-player casino offering, before moving on to SHFL Entertainment to head the European Sales & Business Development team.
Most recently, he established his own consultancy firm working on emerging markets with a number of B2B and B2C gaming companies.
“I’m looking forward to working with Peter and the team to ensure that the Isle of Man remains the premier jurisdiction for gaming business,” Robson said.
