Kambi moves into Asian market with debut casino deal
Sportsbook supplier to provide Cambodia's NagaWorld casino with land-based sportsbook ahead of potential online launch

Kambi Sporting Solutions is set embark on its first Asian business venture after securing the rights to provide one of Cambodia’s largest casinos with an in-house sportsbook.
It is understood that the long-term deal with NagaWorld Hotel & Entertainment could also see the development of an online presence as the relationship between the two parties progresses.
Kambi is thought to have fought-off competition from the likes of Betfair and SBOBET during a competitive eight-month tender process with the supplier permitted to operate in the country though its Alderney licence.
The in-house sportsbook, which is set to launch in the coming weeks, is being viewed by the supplier as a gateway into the lucrative Asia and Macau market, with the latter set for re-regulation in 2015.
The deal marks Kambi’s second foray into the land-based industry, with the company having so far concentrated its efforts on the online sector through deals with European-based operators such as Unibet, 888 and Paf. The supplier also provides a self-service and over-the-counter service in Belgium for Napoleon Gaming.
Kambi was formed after having developed and operated Unibet’s sportsbook since 1997 before spinning-off into its own separate entity in 2010.
NagaWorld is owned by NagaCorp, the largest hotel, gaming and leisure operator in Cambodia. The company has been listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange since 2006, becoming the first gaming-related business to do so.
