Kambi’s chief analytics officer leaves for US sports betting role
Francesco Borgosano will relocate to New York for executive position at start-up technology firm SimpleBet

Kambi’s chief analytics officer Francesco Borgosano has left the Swedish sportsbook supplier to join New York-based start-up SimpleBet.
Borgosano will assume the same analytics role at SimpleBet, a technology firm focused on creating easy-to-use betting products for B2C operators in the US.
EGR Intel understands Borgosano left Kambi on good terms despite having only worked at the supplier for four months and that the opportunity to relocate to New York was a key factor behind the move.

“I am excited about joining the leadership team at SimpleBet,” Borgosano told EGR. “The founders have done an incredible job in assembling a top-class team.
“I am delighted to be joining a company which shares my passion for data and innovation and I will work with the team to make sure we get the most out of our talents,” he added.
Prior to his stint at Kambi, Borgosano worked as head of sportsbook solutions for The Stars Group.
SimpleBet was co-founded by Thiel Fellow Joey Levy, Action X co-founder Scott Marshall and sports, media and tech investor Chris Bevilacqua.
The firm also recruited former Superbet product manager Leo Gaspar as a product director in September, with Levy keen to add European sportsbook experience to SimpleBet’s largely US team.
