Kansino seals new deal with Dutch Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar
Play North-owned brand will replace AFAS Software until the end of the 2025-26 season

AZ Alkmaar has signed a shirt sponsorship deal with Kansino, ending its 12-year partnership with AFAS Software.
Kansino is an online casino provider that was among the first 10 firms to gain a licence in the Netherlands when the regulated online gambling market launched in October 2021.
AZ and Kansino will work together on the newly created Alkmaar Zaanstreek Foundation, which will focus on the club’s community work.
Fans under 18 will have the foundation’s logo on shirts instead of Kansino. In addition, AZ has pledged to contribute to the foundation for every shirt sold.
Klas Winberg, CEO of Play North, said: “We are extremely excited about entering into a multi-year partnership. AZ is a club full of talent at all levels and an organisation we are proud to associate with. A collaboration between two organisations that challenge the top in our own fields of expertise.
“Together we believe that we can help each other to break through further and take lasting steps towards the highest achievable result.”
Robert Eenhoorn, general manager for AZ Alkmaar, added: “Kansino is a modern and ambitious company, which, like us, is enormously motivated to continue to grow.
“This collaboration lays a solid foundation for the future and gives AZ the space to take another step in its ambitions.”
The team’s previous partner AFAS Software will retain the naming rights to the club’s stadium for the next three years.
