Kindred Group confirms 3.3% of Q2 2022 revenue derived from harmful gambling
Figure remains flat compared to Q1 2022 as post-intervention improvement rate continues to grow

Kindred Group has revealed 3.3% of its revenue generated in Q2 2022 came from harmful gambling, remaining flat quarter-on-quarter (QoQ).
The Stockholm-listed firm noted its share of revenue from harmful gambling remained at 3.3%, but showed a significant decrease from the 4.3% in Q2 2021.
Kindred also announced that the percentage of customers who displayed improvement in their play following an intervention by the operator reached 84.7%.
This represents a maintained improvement since Q3 2021, rising from 64.9% to 79.2% in Q4 2021, and then 83.1% in Q1 2022.
During Q2, Kindred entered into a new collaboration with QuitGamble.com, an online hub designed to help those who are potentially suffering from problem gambling.
This partnership runs in conjunction with the operator’s other agreements with Gamban and RecoverMe, along with its own responsible gambling tools.
Henrik Tjärnström, Kindred Group CEO, said: “Even though the share from high-risk players is flat between the first and second quarter, it is good to see an increase in the improvement effect after interventions, which validates our early intervention approach.
“However, we still have work to do to further decrease the number towards our ambition of 0% revenue generated from harmful gambling,” he added.
Kindred’s 0% revenue from harmful gambling strategy, which it hopes to hit by 2023, focuses on teaching customers about safer gaming behaviours, investing in player safety technology, and cooperating with research organisations to identify people at risk earlier.
The company is set to publish its financial results for Q2 2022 on Friday 22 July.
