Ladbrokes Coral leads the way on GambleAware donations list
Entain-owned brands pledge £7m between Q1 and Q3 of 2022-23 while bet365 donates nearly £5m

GambleAware has published its list of voluntary donations between Q1 and Q3 of 2022-23, with total donations for the period amounting to £13.2m.
Of that total, Hillside Media, which operates bet365, and Ladbrokes Coral have contributed 90.4% of all donations so far since 1 April 2022.
Entain-owned Ladbrokes Coral accounted for more than half of the donations with £7m, while Hillside, through its technology, UK gaming and UK sports branches, has donated £4.9m.
Income from all other operators amounted to 9.6%, with the remainder coming from pledges.
Other notable donations include GAN UK (£71,539.88), Casumo (£62,378.29), Betway (£43,000), In Touch Games (£42,300), VideoSlots (£40,000), LiveScore (£37,671) and BetVictor (£13,772).
Betfred donated a combined £142,541 via the Done Brothers and its Petfre trading name.
All operators have until 31 March to make a donation and the full list of donations will be reported to the UK Gambling Commission in April.
While the donations are voluntary, operators are asked to donate a minimum of 0.1% of gross gambling yield (GGY), with smaller operators (generating less than £250,000) are asked to donate a minimum of £250.
In the publishing of the latest figures, GambleAware reiterated its stance on calling for a compulsory levy of 1% as a licence condition for the gambling industry.
All the money donated to GambleAware goes towards activity delivered against the charity’s four objectives of increasing awareness and understanding of gambling harms, increasing access to services and reducing gambling harm inequalities and supports a collaborative, whole-system approach to preventing gambling-related harm.
