Ladbrokes expands mobile games offering
Operator first to launch Realistic Games' iPhone Blackjack and Roulette Apps

Ladbrokes has become the first operator to launch a range of new mobile casino apps developed by slots and table games supplier Realistic Games.
The free-to-download Blackjack and Roulette Apps will be available for download on iPhones only and each contains a range of different features including 3D effects, multi-channel sound, colour cloth choice and additional configurable preferences.
The addition of the apps to its casino offering launch follows another set of disappointing financial results for Ladbrokes after digital operating profit fell 28% year-on-year to £10.8m in the first half of 2013. All verticals except sports, which grew 9.9%, showed decline with casino, poker and bingo falling 6.8%, 25% and 15.5% respectively.
The Gibraltar-licensed firm also announced last week the launch of an online offering from its Sportium brand in Spain in H2 2013 and Mexico in 2014, in addition to the launch of a Ladbrokes branded exchange.
John Pettit, commercial director at Ladbrokes, said the operator was “delighted” to take delivery of Realistic Games latest table apps and believes the games will find favour among its customers. “These are already proving popular with our customers with the Roulette App reaching over 1,000 downloads in one day post launch,” he said.
Commercial director at Realistic Games Andy Harris added that the supplier was pleased to now offer its games across a wide-range of platforms.
“We’re delighted with the quality of the games and feel we’ve created the market leading iPhone Roulette and Blackjack Apps,” he said. “It now means we can also offer these vital games in Flash, on demand HTML5 on phone and tablet and as stand-alone Apps.”
