Ladbrokes signs CryptoLogic extension
UK operator to launch a total of 16 Crypto titles after extending agreement first signed in 2009.

Canadian software supplier CryptoLogic has announced that it has signed a “multi-year” extension of its deal to provide online casino games to Ladbrokes.
The agreement will see Labrokes launch around ten new CryptoLogic titles on its games site in the coming weeks, with a further six to be rolled out over the next few months. The companies originally partnered in August 2009, which saw Lads add Crypto’s Bejeweled, Cubis and Jenga products to its Ladbrokesgames.com.
CryptoLogic vice president of operations Ian Price said of the deal: “This agreement further cements our excellent relationship with Ladbrokes, a global leader in the gaming industry. The expanded roll out of our games by Ladbrokes demonstrates both the popularity of our games with their customers and the value we bring to our licensees.”
It is the latest deal to be announced by Ladbrokes since CEO Richard Glynn announced that the operator would seek to renegotiate all of its core supplier contracts, explaining that the company was “not currently receiving the best industry terms.”
This led to the signing of a multi-million pound deal with long-term sportsbook and casino software provider OpenBet in March this year, followed by an agreement with IGT in May, in which Lads secured the rights to integrate and launch the US provider’s gaming software.
Richard Poole, head of casino and games, commented: “We are delighted to be extending our agreement with CryptoLogic. At Ladbrokes, we pride ourselves on delivering cutting edge games to our customers and CryptoLogic’s renowned and popular games help us do that. We look forward to building on our strong relationship in the future.”
CryptoLogic’s CEO David Gavagan stepped down in April this year to be replaced by David Baazov, following the company’s acquisition by Amaya Gaming.
