Bwin develops horseracing product for Sportingbet migration
New horseracing product to launch on bwin and Sportingbet in December

How the horseracing product will look on bwin mobile
Bwin has developed a horseracing product to enable the smooth transition of Sportingbet to its tech platform.
GVC has been transferring products to bwin’s back-end platform since acquiring the European-facing business in February 2016, and UK-based Sportingbet is next in line to make the switch, which is likely to be completed in December this year.
As a result, the bwin tech team has created a horseracing product in the back end to allow Sportingbet to continue to offer its full portfolio of products. The same product will also be launched on the bwin site.
The bwin development will also improve features like each way betting and offering odds to three decimal places.
Lottoland launches own insurance company
Lottoland has set up its own insurance company after being granted a licence by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) of Gibraltar.
The newly-established Fortuna Insurance is a subsidiary of Lottoland Holdings Limited and will underwrite all the bookmaking risks of Lottoland.
Lottoland founder David von Rosen told EGR the new firm would give Lottoland better access to reinsurance markets as well as being a useful marketing tool.
“It’s powerful for us to be able to say we are a fully licensed insurance company both on the B2B and B2C side,” he said.

The Malta-licensed firm said the launch would expand its addressable market by around seven million.
