LeoVegas looks to future-proofing with new Polish technology hub
Malta-headquartered operator pilots new hub playing host to 60 developers

LeoVegas has launched a new technology hub in Warsaw, Poland as the group triggers proposals to “accelerate” the development of a next general proprietary technology platform.
As part of this development initiative, the Malta-headquartered operator has committed to hiring 60 developers in the Warsaw hub over the next two years, as well as ongoing recruitment in Sweden, the UK and the Netherlands.
LeoVegas has said the new Warsaw hub will “work in synergy” with other developers across the business to future-proof its Rhino proprietary technology platform, which serves as a player account management system (PAM) for the group’s worldwide operations.
“The new tech hub is a key part of the group’s strategy to remain at the forefront of new technology and innovation in product, personalisation and payments,” LeoVegas said.
As a mobile casino and sportsbook developer, LeoVegas has said much of its “strong focus” leans heavily on technology, with one third of its employee base working in technology and product development.
The firm was the first igaming operator to run a cloud-based technology platform via Google Cloud and the first to launch payments through open banking.
LeoVegas chief product and technology officer Mattias Wedar welcomed the new hub, highlighting the central role the Rhino platform plays in the group’s ongoing operations.
“LeoVegas’ success, and the award-winning gaming experience that we give our customers, is driven by our innovative mindset and our proprietary platform Rhino,” Wedar said.
“Our new hub in Warsaw is a key part of our strategy to stay right at the forefront of innovation, new product development and payments, while offering a highly personalised experience to our customers.
“Our new hub will kickstart this next phase of development!” he added.
