LeoVegas to launch live Twitch slots betting event

LeoVegas is launching a live betting event based on the spin outcomes of a live streamed slot game.

The operator has teamed up with games developer Big Time Gaming (BTG) and rising internet streamer LetsGiveItASpin, which is run by poker and slots player Kim Hultman, to offer the innovative betting product.

Punters will be able to wager on the outcome of 500 spins of new BTG game ‘Danger High Voltage’ – based on the 2003 hit song by Electric 6 – when it is streamed live on 10 May.

However, the game itself will be exclusively live with LeoVegas tomorrow, via the NYX network, enabling customers to familiarise themselves with the game ahead of the live betting event.

“We’re proud that LeoVegas is yet again the operator that will be introducing this innovative concept within the industry,” Karolina Pelc, LeoVegas head of casino said.

“We haven’t only been exclusively chosen to launch this exciting new game by BTG, but we’re launching it in a totally new way – through a livestream. This is in line with our promise of being always the first with the latest,” she added.

The betting options to be made available include the number of features hit, the features pay out, the biggest base game win and whether the balance will be up or down.

And the event could draw a big crowd with Hultman having amassed close to five million views across his Twitch channels.

“This could be the tipping point for live streaming that brings in the masses,” Nik Robinson, BTG chief executive said.

“As with sport, a bet can no doubt enhance the live experience and Kim’s channel viewers we’re sure, will enjoy the chance of an additional flutter on the outcome of their favourite slot machines.”

In addition to the live betting event, there will be a launch broadcast tomorrow at 21:00CET.
