LiveScore adds on-demand video content across 200 territories
Sports media business reveals aim to become “truly global sports media business” by adding match highlights, interviews and preview shows to global markets
LiveScore has launched a new swathe of on-demand video content for its global audience across its iOS and Android apps.
The new content service is called Watch and will be integrated into the sports media business’ mobile app and will publish more than 500 pieces of video content every month.
The majority of content will be available across LiveScore’s 200 global territories, making it the first time its userbase outside of the UK, Ireland and Nigeria have been able to access video content via the app.
The video content will include match highlights, interviews, previews and analysis shows as the firm looks to bolster its live-streaming and real-time sports update offering.
By the end of the 2020-21 season, LiveScore will have live-streamed more than 1,250 matches in the UK and Ireland, having launched the feature last year.
Ric Leask, LiveScore marketing director, said: “The launch of Watch is the most exciting step ever in the evolution of LiveScore, as we continue to grow our offering beyond real-time sports updates and become a truly global sports media business.
“Complementing our existing match coverage of more than 1,250 live-streamed fixtures this season, the new Watch feature within the app will provide rich on-demand content and keep our global audience closer to the action than ever before,” he added.
