LiveScore to launch UK live football streaming service
Real-time results provider unveils new free-to-air video product featuring top-tier Italian and Portuguese football

LiveScore is set to launch its first-ever live streaming service in the UK after securing the rights to fixtures from Italy’s Serie A and Portugal’s Primeira Liga.
The new over-the-top (OTT) service, which is free-to-air, will be integrated into the existing LiveScore iOS and Android app. The streaming will be facilitated by LiveScore’s partnership with OTT specialist StreamAMG.
The rights deal, which was brokered by Saran Media Group and agreed with Premier Sports, will see LiveScore broadcast all the remaining fixtures from Serie A season as the competition resumes following its coronavirus-enforced shutdown.
The agreement also sees the affiliate firm secure a third of the remaining games from the Portuguese top-flight, and will kick-start the service on 17 June with the match between Benfica and Rio Ave.
Premier Sports will remain the exclusive UK and Ireland television broadcast partner for both leagues.
Ric Leask, LiveScore marketing director, said: “We’re excited to celebrate the return of football by providing live free-to-air streaming on LiveScore for the very first time.
“This is a hugely important step for LiveScore, as we continue to innovate and offer our audience the most immersive sports coverage possible,” he added.
