Lottoland expands with online sportsbook launch
Gibraltar-headquartered lottery betting operator strikes supplier deal with Altenar

Lottoland has gone live with its first-ever sports betting product after sealing a sportsbook deal with Malta-based supplier Altenar.
Lottoland players in Germany and Austria will now be able to access lottery betting, casino gaming and fixed odds sports betting on the same website after the firm completed an integration with Altenar.
The deal also includes in-play betting and will be extended into more markets throughout 2020.
Lottoland CEO Nigel Birrell said: “We are thrilled to be incorporating a sportsbook platform into our product offering for Lottoland players.
“Our customers are at the heart of what we do, and for that reason we are very pleased to be providing a one-stop-shop for lottery betting, gaming and sports,” he added.

According to Birrell, Altenar was selected as Lottoland’s sportsbook partner for its “flexible approach and customisation software”.
Altenar CEO Stanislav Silin said: “We are looking forward to a long-term cooperation and will do our best to ensure our sports betting solution provides the necessary technological edge and flexibility.”
Lottoland separated itself from its B2B division in November 2019, rebranding the arm as ALOT Solutions to provide a clear distinction from its consumer-facing brand.
The operator came 18th in last year’s EGR Power 50 rankings.
