Lottoland out of luck as COO departs
Lucky Multani leaves firm after just five months in order to "pursue new opportunities"

Lottoland chief operating officer Lucky Multani has left the firm little more than five months into the role, eGaming Review has learned.
Multani, who joined the Gibraltar-based bet-on-lotteries operator in November, told EGR he had decided to leave Lottoland in order to “pursue new opportunities”.
The former 888 staffer had been tasked with overseeing Lottoland’s fraud, payments, legal and compliance efforts, while he was also involved with the development of technology strategy.
Speaking to EGR, Lottoland chief executive Nigel Birrell confirmed Multani had left the firm and added there were no immediate plans to recruit a successor.
“Lucky Multani, our COO, has decided to leave Lottoland to explore new opportunities,” Birrell said.
“We appreciate his hard work over the last few months and wish him all the best in his future endeavours,” he added.
News of Multani’s departure comes soon after Lottoland added two senior staffers to its ranks through the addition of former Gala Coral pair Rob Fell and Gavin Grimes, who became VP of product and VP of gaming respectively.
Lottoland has been enjoying a period of rapid growth of late – the firm recently launched its B2B division Lottoland Solutions and expanded into new markets, which included an Australia launch headed up by former Betfred and Centrebet man Luke Brill.
Last year Lottoland picked up both the Rising Star and Alternative Operator prizes at November’s EGR Operator Awards.
