Lottomatica companies on Nevada agenda
Boss Media among those hopeful of Gaming Control Board approval at next week's meeting, along with operator Golden Gaming.

Five brands under the Lottomatica Group umbrella are next in line to make their case for online poker licensure in Nevada, after the state’s Gaming Control Board published its latest agenda.
Next Wednesday and Thursday’s meeting will see the GCB hear service provider, manufacturer and distributor applications from Boss Media – which runs the International Poker Network – as well as gaming machines manufacturer Spielo International’s US, Canada, Austria and Gibraltar businesses.
Meanwhile Golden Gaming, a privately owned Nevada-based business formed by former Station Casinos COO Blake Sartini, is on the agenda having applied for an operator licence last August.
The companies will hope to follow the likes of Caesars Interactive Entertainment, which received its licence last month, in securing GCB approval and subsequently going before the Nevada Gaming Commission.
CIE parent company Caesars Entertainment recently extended its deal with GTECH Corporation, Lottomatica’s lotteries arm, to use a number of its brands such as World Series of Poker on lottery games.
After merging land-based arm Spielo International with online business GTECH G2 in November 2011, last month saw the combined entity rebrand as Spielo G2.
GTECH G2 signed a freeplay online poker deal in California in September 2011, providing a platform for the Barona Resort and Casino, and in October last year the software provider ran a free poker tournament in Las Vegas with the winner – Pinnacle Entertainment – receiving a freeplay system of its own as first prize.
If successful in their applications, the Lottomatica companies would follow the likes of Bally Interactive and International Game Technology in securing service provider accreditation in Nevada.
