Lottomatica launches iPad live dealer in Italy
Italian operator extends offering via Evolution Gaming technology to launch first product of its kind within the five year-old regulated market.

Lottomatica has launched live dealer for iPad extending its agreement with software partner Evolution Gaming’s technology “ the first product of its kind within the five year-old regulated market.
The expansion of live casino across newly regulated markets and mobile in particular are two areas currently experiencing enormous expansion. On 19 February 888 became the first operator in Spain to launch a live roulette product less than a week after receiving the relevant approval. Evolution designed and launched the live roulette studio for Grupo Orenes’ land-based casino Rincón de Pepe in Murcia.
In Italy Lottomatica is using the Evolution iPad platform to broaden the reach of its web-based live roulette games to iPad users, and to provide an iPad-based betting interface for viewers of the Lottomatica Vegas Club TV show “ channel 59 on DTT.
Lottomatica originally selected Evolution “ the first live casino provider to be fully certified by AAMS and to go live in Italy “ in 2011. The iPad services extend the operator’s core online live roulette with live blackjack due to be released shortly according to the software provider.
Live game feeds for both the web-based Lottomatica live casino service and its live casino television show are streamed direct from dedicated tables at Evolution’s studios in Riga, Latvia. The tables are Lottomatica branded and staffed by native speaking Italian dealers.
For the television show Lottomatica broadcasts live from an Italian studio integrating the Riga live table feeds on large screens. Italian presenters provide running commentary on games and interact with viewers and dealers.
Gionata La Torre, CEO of Evolution Italy, said: “This demonstrates, once again, our commitment to delivering flawless live gaming on multiple devices in regulated markets; it not only extends player choice but also operator reach.”
In October last year Evolution launched a live casino area for Ladbrokes, and signed an exclusive three-year international agreement with the world’s largest television producer to launch the Deal or No Deal brand into the online live dealer market.
