Marathonbet flies pigs over Brighton in pre-Premier League marketing stunt
Sportsbook offers enhanced odds to punters who ‘believe in the impossible’

Marathonbet sent four pigs flying above Brighton Pier yesterday as the firm revealed odds of 5,000-1 for Brighton and Hove Albion to win the Premier League.
The marketing initiative was designed to represent the Seagulls seemingly impossible task of winning the league following their promotion from the Championship last season.

The Marathon Bet pigs were flown into the sky using drones.
Former footballers Andy Townsend and Alan Smith were present to witness the marketing campaign ahead of Brighton’s match against Manchester City on Saturday.
Smith said: “Brighton are coming off a wonderful season that launched them to Premier League status, no-one believed Leicester City could do it the season before last so why can’t the Seagulls?
“They’re up against it, but with Marathonbet flying pigs – how can you rule out Brighton from achieving the extraordinary?”
Marathonbet says punters who believe in the extraordinary should be rewarded with enhanced prices, with the sportsbook also offering odds of 5,000-1 on Huddersfield and 2,500-1 on Newcastle.
