Marathonbet makes CRM push with new loyalty scheme
Brighton-based sportsbook implements virtual currency system to boost engagement

Marathonbet has launched a new loyalty scheme as part of an ongoing push to improve customer loyalty and engagement.
The so-called Marathonbet Club rewards players for placing bets with coins which can then be exchanged for various rewards including free bets, enhanced prices, entry into competitions and bet insurance on 0-0 draws for example.
Players can also use their coins to progress through levels, with punters earning more coins per bet the higher they progress.
“We launched our loyalty program as a reward for customers who engage with us on a regular basis,” said Marathonbet UK country manager Nick King.
“This is a positive addition to the Marathonbet ‘extraordinary’ offering on which we pride ourselves on.”
Several bookmakers have launched differentiated loyalty programs in recent months, including Argyll Entertainment, and The Stars Group, which claims its Stars Rewards was one of the key reasons for poker returning to growth in Q1.
Betfair has also made loyalty a focus thought its recent partnership with Rewards4Racing, which offers regular punters the opportunity to attend horseracing meetings more often.
