The two-minute briefing on online gambling in the first US state to formally introduce an intrastate gambling bill.
NEW Jersey Senator Raymond Lesniak introduced the first US intrastate egaming bill last month, proposing the state’s Atlantic City casinos offer online versions of games including poker, blackjack and baccarat.
Lesniak, along with the Interactive Media Entertainment & Gaming Association (iMEGA) and two horse racing interest groups in the state also filed a lawsuit last March challenging the 17-year-old federal ban on sports betting under the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992.
