Maxima Compliance launches platform to help operators contact Italian regulator
New system allows single communication point with ADM database

Compliance consultancy Maxima Compliance has launched a new service allowing Italy-focused operators to communicate directly with the Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli (ADM) via a single program.
Maxima Connect contains all the main communication protocols for online gambling operators within the Italian market, including PACG, PGDA and PSQF.
Under Italian regulations, all operators are required to connect directly to the ADM’s central system to report and validate every transaction and account creation made via licensed sites.
The system is managed by Società Generale d’Informatica SpA (SOGEI), an external company which provides database services to the Italian government in areas including taxation, public accounting and international trade.
In addition to providing the service via a single platform, Maxima Compliance will also provide technical support to operators using Maxima Connect in their dealings with the regulator and assist with integration of the platform onto existing databases.
Antonio Zanghi, founder and MD of Maxima Compliance, said the complex technical requirements of the Italian market has the potential to create a significant drain on operator resources, something which Maxima Connect aims to reduce.
“Italy remains one of Europe’s most compelling online gaming markets, but only for operators with a firm grasp on their compliance obligations,” Zanghi added.
