Microgame launches Amaya slots in Italy
Amaya becomes the latest supplier to see its products launched in recently-regulated dot.it market.

Amaya Gaming has launched a range of its online slots games in the dot.it market with People’s Network operator Microgame.
The deal will see Microgame host products including Serengeti Diamonds, Samurai Princess and Lost Temple. Online slots were authorised for the first time in Italy last December after the Italian regulatory authority AAMS issued licences to several operators.
David Baazov, Amaya CEO, said of the deal: “Microgame is one of the most innovative Italian technology companies in the market. Italy is an important regulated market for us, and we will be looking to increase our market share in that country as it opens up for more business.”
Microgame appointed a new chief executive, Massimiliano Casella, in January, replacing founder and former CEO Fabrizio d’Aloia, who stepped down from the role after more than 15 years.
The recent online slots regulation is part of a broadening dot.it market, which this week saw its first virtual sports launch through Intralot Italia. Fast-fold poker has also been approved by AAMS, while restrictions on bingo products are due to be lifted later this year.
