Microgaming integrates poker content into online casino offering
Isle of Man-based supplier to launch exclusive poker titles in December despite closure of Microgaming Poker Network

Microgaming is set to introduce a new range of poker games to its online casino supply chain for partnering operators.
The news comes one year after the decision was made to close the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN), which supplied operator clients with online poker software for more than 16 years.
Hold’Em Poker is the first exclusive poker game scheduled for release by Microgaming, with follow-up titles such as Lucky Showdown to be revealed in the coming months.
Hold’Em Poker is a brand of classic Texas hold’em which aims to immerse players in a poker room environment amid an online casino experience, representing a strategic pivot for Microgaming.
The game is a €5 buy-in Sit & Go tournament specifically optimised for mobile, combined with a new random prize pool wheel mechanic introducing a €25,000 progressive jackpot.
Microgaming will debut Hold’Em Poker during an exclusive release phase with select customers on 1 December, with global launch scheduled for 9 December.
Microgaming CEO John Coleman said: “Hold’Em Poker will add a new dimension to our online casino vertical, introducing a range of fun and exciting poker games to our platform.
“Designed to appeal to both poker and casino players, these games will deliver even further choice to our customers as we continue to diversify and innovate our content offering,” he added.
First introduced by Winamax a decade ago, lottery-style Sit & Go tournaments have become a familiar and popular fixture among leading operators including PokerStars, partypoker, 888 and Unibet.
