Microgaming expands into Indian poker market
Egaming supplier signs up online poker operator Thrill Poker to its new MPN India platform

Microgaming has expanded into the Indian online poker market after signing up Thrill Poker to its recently launched MPN India poker network.
India-facing online poker operator Thrill Poker was launched in 2013 and has now migrated all its players to the egaming supplier’s new poker platform.
Microgaming’s expansion into the unlicensed market follows recent cases in the Indian courts which sought to pass judgement on whether online poker should be considered gambling or a game of skill.
“Online and offline poker in India is growing massively in popularity,” Aditya Oberoi, director at Thrill Poker, said.
“We wanted to build an offering which was market-leading, secure, and robust in order to provide the best possible poker experience to Indian players”, he added.
Microgaming has signed up a number of new partners to its poker network in recent months including Asia-facing online giant SBOBET and Georgia-based operator Adjarabet.
“I’m very pleased that Thrill Poker has chosen Microgaming when looking to upgrade their poker product,” Alex Scott, head of poker at Microgaming, said.
“We have added another string to our bow with a poker network dedicated to India; it is a growing market and we are now well positioned to capitalise on this,” he added.
