Mr Green appoints new head of casino
Andy Braithwaite leaves Redbet to take on newly-created role at online casino operator
Mr Green has recruited Redbet’s long-serving chief commercial officer Andy Braithwaite to the newly-created role of head of casino.
Braithwaite assumes responsibility for product management and website content across the Mr Green brand, including overall marketing and bonussing strategy.
He previously spent four years at Redbet, initially as head of casino and marketing, and latterly as its CCO.
Based in Malta and reporting directly to CMO Henrik Svensson, Braithwaite has also served as head of content at Betsson and head of gaming at Virgin Media.
“Mr Green has achieved fantastic growth recently based on really strong marketing,” Braithwaite told eGaming Review. “But now we need to have more of a casino product focus and that expertise hasn’t been around for a while.”
“I’ll be focussing on getting the product exactly right for the customer, understanding the psychology behind players, improving the math behind bonuses and helping prevent abuse,” he added.
In November last year Mr Green launched its female-targeted online casino, Garbo.com, featuring a range of real-money and free-to-play casino games from software supplier Net Entertainment including slots, roulette and blackjack.
Last year also saw the Swedish operator go public and revenues rise by more than 60% during the first nine months of 2013.
