Mr Green has started the search for a new chief executive after it was revealed Mikael Pawlo is to stand down from the position in June next year.
Pawlo, one of the three founders of the casino firm, confirmed his resignation this morning after agreeing with the company’s board and is to become a new board member following his departure from the hot seat.
Having achieved record growth earlier this year the operator revealed it was to pursue an international expansion strategy and Pawlo said it was time for “someone else to takeover” as the operator enters a “new phase”.
“It has been an incredible journey to be part of establishing Mr Green as a secure and entertaining alternative in the European gaming market,” Pawlo said.
“We have evolved from an idea in a Word document in autumn 2007 to today having a group with 145 employees and a game win for the third quarter of SEK484.2m,” he added.
Board chairman Tommy Trollborg paid testament to Pawlo’s leadership of the company and said he was “delighted that the company can be assured of [his] expertise” in the future.
“I cannot emphasis enough the importance of Mikael Pawlo to the success of Mr Green. Under his leadership, we have created a casino experience that we believe is in a class of its own,” he said.
