Multilotto kicks off international expansion with Irish debut
Operator launches multilotto.ie as part of global expansion outside the Nordics

Multilotto has announced the launch of a new Ireland-facing lottery product, as the operator looks to expand its reach outside its core Nordic markets.
The operator unveiled its multilotto.ie website this week, offering a variation of global international lottery jackpots, including Irish brands Bono Loto and Mega Sena.
Despite a primary focus on the Nordics since its inception in 2012, Multilotto is now aiming to expand internationally after receiving a licence from the Malta Gaming Authority last month.
CEO Thomas Biro said he is confident Multilotto’s offering will be well received in Ireland.
He added: “Multilotto.ie is the choice for customers who want an accessible and simple way of playing lotteries from around the world and we’re very pleased to bring this exciting offering to the Irish market.
“Our business model is well established in the Nordic region and we believe that Irish customers will be equally attracted to our offering.
“2017 is proving to be a big year for us and we look forward to making several more major announcements in the coming months.”
The Irish online lottery market has grown significantly in recent months with Lottoland and Tipp24 also expanding their brands into the market.
Multilotto’s move further increases the competition against the Irish National Lottery which is operated by Premier Ireland Lotteries. The national brand is part-owned by Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, which also owns UK National Lottery operator Camelot.
