Mybet CEO: New platform puts firm on par with German rivals
Long-awaited Amelco-built tech stack to be put into full operation next week

Mybet has hailed the benefits of its new platform which will “bring the firm into the 21st century” and put it on a par with Germany-facing rivals, according to CEO Markus Peuler.
The new Amelco-powered platform will go live next Tuesday, with immediate upgrades including a quadrupling of sports betting options, twice as many casino games and the introduction of a mobile casino for the first time.
New technical features also include a new search function, an adjustable favourites menu and a newly structured bet slip.
However Peuler pointed out that changes were not limited to customer-facing improvements, but also included enhanced hardware that would future-proof the business.
“This platform switch has been delayed many times, but we’re happy with it now and this takes us to the current century,” Peuler told EGR Intel. “We’re not bet365 yet but this is a step in the right direction.
“When comparing the platform to main rivals in Germany like Tipico or bet-at-home, we are not too far from parity.
“And the things they have that we don’t are still on the way, like virtual sports and cash-out, which is very important for the Germany market.”
Peuler said further product improvements would be slowly introduced over the next six months so as not to “annoy customers” with too many changes at once.
On the back-end platform, the CEO said personalisation was a key target, with more individualised bonusing on the way in coming months.
When asked whether the improved technology would make mybet a target for M&A, Peuler said the firm was not in active discussions, but was “undervalued” by the market and could be a “nice opportunity for big players looking to enter the German market”.
