Mybet to develop blockchain-powered payments and loyalty solution
Operator to partner with UMT on solution that will "create competitive advantages"

Mybet has announced plans to develop a new blockhain-powered payments and customer loyalty programme in partnership with white label provider UMT.
The two firms have signed a letter of intent to develop the system, which is expected to be started in February 2018 after a technical feasibility study.
According to a statement, the deal will see the two firms develop a new payments solution connected to a new customer loyalty programme.
Mybet said the deal would support the expansion of its customer base and create competitive advantages.
UMT said its blockchain solutions would make mybet a market leader in the field of payment processing.
As part of the deal UMT will also invest €500,000 into the new customer loyalty programme to “incentivise the use of the solution by mybet customers”.
The announcement comes less than a week after mybet also announced it was launching its online product in Ghana via mybet.com.
Markus Peuler, CEO of mybet, said of the deal: “From our perspective there is currently no online sports betting offering in Ghana that is able to compete with the quality and safety of mybet. Therefore we are convinced that the mybet brand can reach market leadership in Ghana in the mid-term.”
