Nektan to power Independent News & Media online casino
Supplier will develop and operate Ireland-facing multi-platform real-money casino
One of Ireland’s biggest newspaper publishers Independent News & Media (INM) has revealed plans to launch an online and mobile casino product through a partnership with B2B platform supplier Nektan.
The publisher of market-leading newspaper brands and websites in Ireland and Northern Ireland will roll-out its multi-platform casino in the coming weeks under a new, as-yet-unannounced brand.
INM owns the Irish Independent, Sunday Independent, Sunday World and the Star titles in Ireland, and the Belfast Telegraph and Sunday Life titles in Northern Ireland.
The real-money casino will feature a range of Nektan’s games developed for mobile, tablet and desktop use.
And Brendan Murray, product manager at Independent News & Media, said the launch was part of the company’s strategy of growing non-core revenue.
INM is the latest addition to a growing list of media brands partnering with Nektan to launch an online casino product.
Nektan has previously announced deals to power a mobile casino for the Sun newspaper and London-based title City A.M.
