NetEffect applies for Nevada licence
Cloud computing provider applies for Class 2 Service Provider licence.

Las Vegas-based software supplier NetEffect Networks has become the 15th company to apply for a Nevada gambling licence.
Founded in 2002, IT solutions provider NetEffect claims it is the only company to offer a fully hosted cloud computing solution in Nevada. It has applied for a Class 2 Service Provider licence, which would allow it to offer its cloud-based services to operators looking to launch in the state. So far it is the only IT service provider to apply for a gaming licence.
Last week American Casino Entertainment Properties, owner of the Stratosphere Casino, became the latest company to apply for operator and service provider licences, following the likes of MGM Resorts International and Boyd Gaming, which applied earlier in February.
Fertitta Interactive and South Point Poker have applied for operator and service provider licences, while Monarch Gaming has applied for an operator licence and IGT, Bally Technologies and Shuffle Master have applied for manufacturer and service provider approval.
Mobile operator Probability is also in the process of securing suitability approval, after which it is likely to apply for a service provider licence.
