Net Entertainment looking beyond New Jersey in US talks
Software firm looking to partner with multiple operators in multiple states

Net Entertainment is looking at potential US partners who can give the software company opportunities across the country, chief executive Per Eriksson has told eGaming Review.
Eriksson is out in the United States “about once a month”, while chief of global market operations Bjorn Krantz has also been spending time across the Atlantic meeting with operators capable of giving the firm opportunities for growth in New Jersey and beyond.
“For us it’s the more operators who have our games the better so we don’t want to close any doors,” Eriksson told eGR. “We don’t want an exclusive agreement – we want more than one partner in the US.”
At an analyst call following this morning’s H1 results, Eriksson said the software provider was looking for partners who “can be good for the long term”.
“We’re not just looking for partners for New Jersey, but for bigger states like California as well,” he added, noting that “We don’t want to rush into something where we don’t have control over what we do, we want solid and close partnerships”.
A number of European operators have partnered with land-based New Jersey casinos for their poker offerings, among them PokerStars and Betfair, though Eriksson remains confident that demand remains for his company’s slots portfolio.
“I think the US operators have a big respect for our knowledge in Europe, as we are a bit ahead thanks to the legislation here compared to in the US, and that’s why they like to talk to us,” Eriksson told eGR.
“But of course things are moving fast in this industry so you need to be innovative and be on your toes all the time so that you don’t miss opportunities.”
