New operators added to Belgian blacklist
Winamax highest-profile operator to be added, with 20 operators now blacklisted.

The Belgian Gaming Commission (BGC) has added an additional 10 operators to its egaming blacklist, bringing the total number of banned operators to 20, while two additional companies have been awarded licences to operate in the market.
Winamax is the latest high-profile company to be blacklisted alongside the likes of Goldenpalace.com and Oranjecasino.com. These sites join the likes of 888, Everest Poker and Titan Poker on the list alongside Chiligaming, which is thought to be in discussions with the BGC to have its name removed from the blacklist after shutting off its services to Belgian customers.
The new licensees have been announced as Austrian operator Win2Day and Goldenpalace.be. While Golden Palace shares its name with the blacklisted dot.com site, it is a separate entity operated by Citexar S.A., a company registered in Brussels run by managing director Daniela Menegalli.
Bwin.party has submitted an application for a Belgian licence following the threat of being blocked there, while Unibet confirmed that it had applied in February this year.
Ladbrokes and StanleyBet are also thought to be interested in gaining online accreditation to supplement their land-based operations in the market.
