Newcastle United nets long-term FUN88 sponsorship extension
The Magpies will continue to host Asia-facing betting firm on shirt fronts and training wear

Premier League club Newcastle United has sealed a long-term extension to its principal partnership with Asian betting firm FUN88.
Under the remit of the new agreement, FUN88 will continue to feature on the front of team shirts and training wear.
The pair’s relationship started in the summer of 2017 and has seen several social media giveaways and competitions held for Newcastle fans.
Lee Charnley, Newcastle United MD, said he was “delighted” with the extension and praised the sponsorship to date.
Charnley said: “We are delighted FUN88 has renewed its relationship with Newcastle United and committed its support to the club over a number of years to come.
“Building on the success of our partnership to date, we look forward to this next phase and working together to engage fans and grow our collective reach around the globe,” he added.
A FUN88 spokesperson added: “FUN88 is delighted to continue its association with Newcastle United Football Club. Together with the club, we live the dream of expanding our fan base across all continents, especially in Asia.”
The Magpies also hold a betting partnership with MansionBet that will run through to the summer of 2021.
Newcastle’s decision to extend its shirt sponsorship with a betting firm follows the House of Lords select committee’s recommendations that gambling sponsorship in sport should be outlawed.
